Objective 2 2.5 Structures for Environmental Leaning - Outside
All our students participate in our garden programs. At each grade level, students are germinating seeds, planting the seedlings, and then caring for the plants as they grow. The most favorite activity is getting to eat what is grown!
We are fortunate to have a designated outdoor classroom that is surrounded by nature and is in the midst of a wooded area. Our elementary students ready the area each year for use by all the classes. Our front patio area regularly is filled with student studying nature or other topics while enjoying the outdoors.
Classes take advantage of the close proximity of the B & A Path to take nature walks.
Students often explore our grounds finding leaves, animals or to study what attracts butterflies and other topics. Our property is filled with lots of wonders for young learners to explore!
